About the film

In May 1970, the residents of Yungay, a town in Peru, including 11-year-old Mateo and his loyal dog, Lepanto, begin to notice strange signs around them. Soon after, a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake shakes the region, triggering an avalanche that buries the entire town.
