In Hungary, over 90% of wetland habitats have disappeared, and much of the remaining areas are in poor condition. To this day, these areas are still regarded as economically useless. Stopping their drainage and restoring these areas is an increasingly urgent climate adaptation, nature conservation and water management necessity.
